Your educational experience in Spain is sure to be as exciting as the city you'll call home!
With the lively streets of Barcelona as your classroom, you can revel in all the familiar landmarks — the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia, the Barri Gotic, Casa Batllo, and La Pedrera while taking in the history and culture during your courses. Barcelona’s mild climate and the diverse landscapes of the Catalonia region provide students with a variety of opportunities to spend time on the beaches, in the Pyrenees Mountains, or visiting some of the most famous wineries and cava (champagne) caves of Spain.
With an approximate population of 1.6 million people, Barcelona is the perfect place to spend a summer or semester as a student. It is a city where our students will get to know many other international students since the city is one of the most popular study abroad destinations.
FIE’s study abroad programs in Spain seize the best of both worlds. With an emphasis on co-curricular activities to ensure you contextualize your academic learning, Spain offers extensive and authentic exposure to the local culture. Our academic partners (UAB Barcelona) and on-the-ground partner (ALA) serve not only as your homebase, but also as your launchpad to adventure (but not just any kind of adventure — the juicy kind that leads to boundless inspiration and profound lifelong lessons).
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) (Autonomous University of Barcelona)
