Shirley is an accomplished writer for film, TV, radio, theatre, short and long-form prose. She has received awards for her theatre, film, and prose fiction work and has been teaching graduate and post-graduate students at American universities in London for the past five years. In addition to her teaching, Shirley works as a script editor for the Literary Consultancy and several independent producers.
Currently, she is in the final year of her PhD, focusing on Graham Greene and adaptation. In her free time, Shirley enjoys long treks in the countryside with her husband (who is good at reading maps!). She also loves lunching with friends, attending imaginative and emotional theatre performances, watching brilliant films, reading good books, and binge-watching must-see box sets.
Shirley moved from rural Suffolk to London two years ago and is enjoying life in the city.
